Money Problems

SO, I'm sitting at home on a conference call for work and my wife is sitting next to me looking at banking information and all the sudden she blew up!

Come to find out, Schizo-boy is not doing so well in the money department and wound up overdrafting his & his mother's shared checking account resulting in two overdraft fees being applied.

To help you, the reader, understand why this is not the norm, Schizo-boy is one of those people that is fastidious about his money and usually knows exactly what he has available at all times. For him to go and do this is way out of character for him.

He's also starting to get quiet again...

*sigh*

Admitting is First Step!

To my wife's and my surprise, schizo-boy asks when his medicaid kicks in because he felt like he should "make a doctor's appointment and get medicine for the problem in his head" so that he would not have a problem going back to work! This occurred on Wednesday, July 30, 2008.

Oh MY GAWD! Have we won the war this easily?

We can only hope.

More Crackz

This last weekend, schizo-boy went to stay at his middle-brother's house. When he came back, he was even quieter than normal.

Today, he did not wake up until after 4 pm, which tells me that he is not sleeping at night.

Now I just got off the phone with the husband of his ex-girlfriend whom we had asked to contact us if schizo-boy attempted to contact her again. The husband, whom we'll call Fred, stated that they received an email today from schizo-boy.

So, now we are working through exactly what we are going to do about it.

The Crack in the Facade

Last night, my wife and I invited schizo-boy to a local Mexican restaurant to eat supper. He decided that he was going to go, which is great!

Unfortunately, his mind is starting down that slippery slope into a mental break. He pushed and pushed at me - talking about how I could create this wonderful technical feat and he was just BARELY speaking English while attempting to converse with me.

When we got home, his mom confided in me that he had sent off requests to the 3 major credit companies because he thinks someone has gotten his identity. She also added that she thought his ultimate goal was to use SSI money to buy a car. (Cannot happen due to him having a legal guardian.)

So, we are now at the beginning, or near the beginning of another psychotic break for schizo-boy.

Perhaps this will be the time when he accepts that he has a problem and will get REAL help with this and start taking meds. (which is a WHOLE other battle in itself.)

*double sigh*
