A few months ago, Schizo-boy lost a brand new bottle of his medicine. He attempted to call Dr. Psyche and get another bottle, but of course his doctor appropriately denied the request because they could have been sold. This left him having to get his refill right away.
Over the last couple of months, he has been skimping on the pills. This had him teetering dangerously over that steep precipice. I don't know for sure but I think that he ran out of pills a couple of weeks ago. He has grown more and more quiet and kept to himself in his room except when we are not there or in bed for the night.
On July 2nd, he finally got a new prescription filled and by July 4th he suddenly showed up at his brother's house where the rest of us were hanging out to celebrate Independence Day. The VERY first thing he did after walking in was fill up his coke glass with vodka and downed the whole thing. I knew then that he was highly stressed about being there.
He went on to drink himself stupid throughout the evening and then quietly snuck out and drove home. *rolling eyes* Then Thursday night, he went out again. Late, around midnight, he tried to get money from his mom who finally yelled at him. So, he tried calling me. I didn't pick up because I knew what his game was.
Saturday, July 7th we left for a business trip to California which left him home alone for the week.
We got back this last Saturday and he has yet to even say, "Hello!"
I think that one day soon, we are going to come back from the grocery or a restaurant and he'll just be gone...
