Commitments

Yesterday, my wife and I went to probate and got a judge to commit the stepson. Now the sheriff's office has 7 days to pick him up. Hopefully, this will go smoother than last night...

We were sitting around and the stepson kept walking into the room like he wanted to say something to us. He would then sit on the couch and watch TV with us, which he hasn't done in forever. We figured that he was hanging out with us because he is scared. (Same reason he sleeps with the bedroom light on and his door open!)

So, we pow-wowed and decided to try calling the crisis unit to see if they could have him picked up any faster than the sheriff's office. That's when we realized that we forgot to get a copy of the damn OTA that was signed by the judge. *triple sigh* Anyway, the crisis people wound up calling the police - which was just plain stupid. They couldn't do anything without the paperwork.

Luckily, the stepson is so confused and addle-brained that I just acted like the cops were there by mistake and he bought right into it
